Aughrim: Ballinatone Fête - Ballinatone parish are holding their annual fête on Saturday, July 13, in Ballinatone Church grounds starting at 2.30 p.m. There will be the usual attractions such as books, plants, bric-a-brac and lovely cakes and delicious tea.
For the summer I will be running a 10 a.m. Wednesday morning pilates class in Aughrim Sports Complex and a 6.45 p.m. Tuesday evening class in Redcross Church Hall, Redcross. Next Saturday sees our county Wicklow tag rugby champions travelling to Carlow IT for the Leinster Finals. We would like to wish our under-11 and under-14 boys and girls all the luck of Wicklow and to do your best and enjoy the experience.
We are going to Shelbourne Park Greyhound Races on Tuesday night, July 16, Package, which includes entry and two-course dinner, is €25. Payment has to be made two weeks in advance. Bus will be extra. We continue to meet at Phelan's each Monday at 10.30 a.m. for a short walk and coffee afterwards.

The annual Cemetery Masses and blessing of the graves will take place as follows: Rosahane Cemetery, Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. Upper Macreddin Cemetery, Monday, July 15, at 8 p.m. Lower Macreddin Cemetery Monday, July 22, at 8 p.m.

The numbers: 3, 8, 15 and 22 were drawn in this week's Aughrim Sports club lotto on June 24. The jackpot was won by Aisling O'Loughlin, Tinakilly, Aughrim. Match-three winners were Majella O'Shea and Kieran Ryan. The jackpot is €1,500.
Town and Country Market

Glenealy Card Drive
Whist partner card drive will be in Glenealy Village Hall this Thursday night, July 4. 45 card drive will be the following Thursday night, July 11, at 8.30 p.m. New players are always welcome.

Pilates classes are now running in Glenealy Village Hall on Tuesday evenings from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Beginners/improvers and all ages welcome. Seven weeks for €70 or drop-in-rate of €12. ORGANIC HORTICULTURE - BIODIVERSITY AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT : QQI L5 Part-time fully funded training course - two and a half days per week. Commenced in mid-June. Gymnastics or Trampoline Summer Camps

Most importantly it is great fun and our coaches are just superb, love what they do and are all current or ex-gymnasts who have come up through our club which promotes a great fun-filled training programme for gymnastics and trampoline.
Our camps are licensed by Gymnastics Ireland, the national governing body for Gymnastics in Ireland, and all gymnasts are registered with them for the camps.

Last week, guest leader Irene Langrell led 31 walkers on the circuit over Croghanmoira. On one of the best evenings this year everyone got to enjoy the fantastic panoramic views from the top of Croghanmoira.
This coming week we will travel to Kilpedder for the circuit of Old Downs Hill. Meet at Parnell Memorial Park for 7 p.m. and walk starts at 7.30 p.m.

Tinahely Variety Group invites you to the launch of our 2019-20 season on Friday, July 5, at Courthouse Arts Centre at 8 p.m. Come along and enjoy some refreshments.

Children's Creative Writing Workshops
The Lennon Centre, Annagh are running children's creative writing workshops in July for children aged 11 to 16 years. Dates as follows: Saturday and Sunday, July 21/22 for age 11-13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day; Saturday and Sunday, July 28/29 for age 14-16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Cost per child is €50 for the weekend.
