Members of Arklow Sea Scouts and their leaders came together in celebration of six young people who completed the Chief Scout Awards Scheme.
Fionn Ó Conchuir, Dara Tansey, Jack Breen, Deirbhile Gavaghan, Emma Seckington and Fennell Wolohan each undertook a series of activities and acquired skills over a certain time-scale to achieved this prestigious Scouting accolade.
One of these was a 25km hike across part of the Wicklow Way, rounded off with an overnight camp by the fire at Lakeshore, Lough Dan.
These well-grounded young people have spent much of their childhood in Scouting and will continue their journey into the sea Scouts Ventures and then Rovers with the option to eventually become a Scouter.
Arklow Sea Scouts extend thanks to all the adult Scouters who volunteer every week who make such activities possible for the young members.
