Operation Transformation walk WHERE: Bray Seafront
WHAT ELSE: The people of Bray have been lending their support to members of Bray Gospel Choir who have been losing weight along with RTÉ'S Operation Transformation programme. Serena Kilkenny of the Bray Gospel Choir said there was a great turnout at the 4km walk . The walkers met at the Bandstand in Bray heading up to the Scenic Car park around the Vevay down the Putlands and back to the Harbour. The walkers were led by Operation Transformation leader Killian Byrne, who is one of the five leaders on the hit TV show fronted by Kathryn Thomas. Fifteen members of the Bray Gospel Choir, 14 women and one man, are also following the Operation Transformation diet and exercise plan and already have lost a whopping 11 stone between them. They have also set up a dedicated Facebook page where they are motivating each other throughout the series. Serena said the group hope to continue on with the programme once the eight weeks are over. Another Operation Transformation walk will take place this Saturday at 11am, meeting at the Bandstand and following the same route. For those who feel unable to complete the entire 4km circuit they can meet the walkers along the route, perhaps at the scenic car park. She said that the Martello has also come on board and have added some Operation Transformation options to their menus allowing the walkers to enjoy a break and a coffee after the walk.
