History talk on pre-Christian Brittas Bay as part of series
Stan J O'Reilly will deliver the next talk in Wicklow Historical Society's winter series of lectures.
Mr O'Reilly, the society's secretary, will explore the early pre-Christian people of Brittas Bay, their lives, beliefs and customs, as well as the migratory pattern of their descendants after the arrival of Christianity.
Mr O'Reilly will also explore why Kilmacurragh was of such importance to early Christians. During his talk, he will explain where the name originated from, what it means, who the saint associated with the area was and what is still yet to be found at Kilmacurragh.
The talk will take place in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre on Monday, January 28, at 8 p.m. Admission is free but there will be a donations box for voluntary donations to help offset any costs involved.
