Sam Hunter-Kelly, Sophie McKenna, Daithi McKenna, Jack McKenna, Jimmy Hunter and Teddy McKenna at the African street party at Mickey Finn’s in Redcross in aid of Mellon Educate.

Mickey Finn's experienced a taste of Africa complete with street food, music and, of course, beer.

Guests enjoyed such authentic delicacies such as crocodile kebabs, ostrich skewers, buffalo sausages and zebra strips, served with a selection of potatoes, salads and dips.

Today FM presenter Phil Cawley was responsible for the tunes on the night and made sure his selection had an exciting African theme.

All the ticket proceeds, along with sales of Wicklow craft beers, are going towards Mellon Educate and its charity work in Africa, such as helping to build schools and improving education standards.

Mickey Finn's will be holding another fundraiser for Mellon Educate this weekend at the annual Redcross Beer Festival. The event takes place on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6.

The festival will feature guests beers from Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company, Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery, Hopfully Brewing, O Brother Brewing, Mont Brewery and others.
