Knockanstockan made a successful return to Blessington over the weekend, featuring more than 140 acts, pop-up performances and eye-catching art installations.

The independent music and arts festival took a break last year but experienced a spectacular homecoming starting on Friday and continuing through to Sunday.

Performers taking to the stage over the three days included Akora, Shy Mascot, Stuck on Repeat, Sister Ghost, Anna Mieke, Cathy Davey, Birds of Olympus, Pete Pamf, Attention Bebé, Holly Carter, Hot Tolka Club, Papa Lou, Senu and Toby Karr.

The arts also featured prominently, including the largest art installation yet to take place at Knockanstockan. The Spirit Animal stage was created and hand-crafted by Brazilian collective Espaço Libellula.

The Rasher Factory offered a continuous selection of multi disciplinary artists within a geodesic dome.

The Unfiltered stage offered sunning views of the Blessington Lakes where concert-goers could watch performance art, various collaborations, interviews and a number of comedy sets. Then later that night the stage was transformed into an energetic rave featuring some of Ireland's best DJ collectives. There were hidden beauties dotted all around to hang out in, to stare at or to simply chill out at.
