Crowd dances the night away for RNLI
The second social dance for Wicklow town RNLI was held last week with a huge crowd of 100 people attending.
They danced the night away with musician Jimmy Hogan and his band in the Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy on Friday, April 28.
After working up an appetite a variety of delicious refreshments were provided by Flannery's Undertakers during the interval.
Ann Duffy Flowers donated lovely arrangements to Wicklow RNLI to decorate the tables and at the end of the night these were sold to anyone who was interested.
Local people sponsored the prizes for the raffle with others bringing something on the night to donate to be used for it.
Wicklow RNLI PRO Bernadette Jarrett said: 'There was such a great interest in the social dance. We definitely think we will do it again as a lot of people were asking about the next one.
'I think it is something that will pick up and become popular for one of the RNLI's fundraising events.'
Bernadette said the RNLI are still receiving donations and would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support.
