The East Coast FM Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning is set to return on Friday, April 24, for its 12th year.
The event, which raises money for cancer support services around the county as well as the Wicklow Hospice, collected a total of €81,000 in 2019.
As with every year to date, the coffee morning aims to be bigger than ever, with more events taking place around the county. This year, they will be celebrating the opening of the Wicklow Hospice, after over 10 years of fundraising by the people of Wicklow, and organisers also hope to help Purple House Cancer Support raise enough funds to move to their permanent home.
Individuals, groups and organisations are invited to get involved and hold their own events in their workplace, school or community centre. Many schools host bake sales, non uniform days or jersey days, work places hold coffee mornings on lunch breaks or have casual Fridays and communities come together in villages to hold coffee mornings with raffles and live music.
