Arklow RNLI rescue fishing vessel
Arklow RNLI launched on Saturday last to help a 9 m fishing vessel that had suffered engine failure.
Following a request from the Irish Coast Guard, Arklow RNLI launched at around 1.30 p.m.
In light south westerly winds, the RNLB Ger Tigchlearr lifeboat made its way to the reported position three miles south east of Arklow. Once on scene, the casualty vessel with three persons aboard was located and it was confirmed that the vessel had suffered engine failure.
A towline was established and the casualty vessel was towed back to Arklow where all hands came ashore safely.
