The annual 'Streets of Wicklow' sponsored by Burke Oil and organised by Inbhear Dee AC returns this St Stephen's Day.

The event has been taking place in Wicklow town for over eleven years now.

This chip timed race is a great family event with a cash prize and perpetual cup for the fastest family across the line, consisting of two adults and two kids. It is also a fast 5km, with cash prize for the first five men and women to finish, and a €100 bonus offered for any man or women who break the course record.

For the very young there is a one mile race at 10.30 a.m.. Entry is only €3 on the day.

So why not join in on St. Stephens day to run off that turkey and support Inbhear Dee athletics club, which has been coaching athletics in Wicklow Town for over 36 years.

You can register online now. It costs €15 for an adult, €8 for a juvenile and €50 for a family on ww.inbheardeeac.com. Entries will also be taken on the day - €20 for adult, €10 juvenile and €65 for a family. The race starts at East Glendalough School at 11 a.m.
