JENNIFER Hunter from Servier Arklow was a recent visitor to Wicklow RNLI Lifeboat Station, and she came bearing gifts.
Jennifer was able to present the volunteer crew with a cheque for €200.
Servier (Ireland) Industries Ltd was established in 1989 and is located in Arklow. It is now the largest production facility outside France for the Servier Group.
Swimmer Muriel Lowe also made a recent presentation to Wicklow RNLI, having raised €135 after swimming a mile at 5 Mile Point near Newcastle back in May as part of the RNLI May Day fundraising campaign.
Members of Wicklow RNLI were also present during the Round Ireland as they provided a free life jacket clinic, offering to check any life jackets and provide safety and simple maintenance advice.
The service was completely free and the lifeboat team were on hand to talk visitors through all the different options for their lifejackets.
Over the last few months the RNLI has been welcoming members of An Garda Síochána to Wicklow Lifeboat station to undertake some refresher training in the use of a throw-bag.
