Football Club notes
Our junior team participated in another cracker of a game in Donard on Friday, 6th. August when they played a challenge game against Clonmore on the No 1 pitch. Although short a few first team players, they played a particularly good hour of fast high scoring football. The team was: Colm Toomey, Aaron Moody, Oisin Traynor, Shane Eager, Jack Keogh, Harry Mangan, Kevin Osbourne, Pat Flynn, Darren O’Neill, James Eager, Niall Curran, Eoin Hallisey, Ray Halloran, Liam Mullen, McCarthy, Ed. Flynn, James Walshe, William Eager, Declan Healy, Top scorers were Ray Halloran (4.2), and Liam Mullen (3.2).
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last. J O’Toole, Eamonn Kealy, Club Lemon and M. Metcalfe matched three and won fifty euro each. The jackpot now stands at €8,100. The next draw will take place in Davidstown on Monday 8th August at 8pm

Ladies Pink Day at Rathsallagh
Ladies Pink Day takes place at Rathsallagh GC on Thursday September 1st. This is a Member / Guest Invitational event. Men are welcome to play. Teams of 3 are €100 to enter. The death has occurred of Liam Tallon, Grangecon, formerly of Kilmeade, Athy and Dunlavin, . Died suddenly at home. Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
Predeceased by his wife Anne and his brother Seán. Survived by his sons Graham and Jonathan, daughters Ciara and Brenda, their partners Janice, Antonia and Seán and his sisters Mai (Carlow) and Annette (Jersey). Deeply regretted by his cherished grandchildren Rachael, Graham, Sumer, Sofia and Alexander, special in-laws, neighbours and friends Kathleen, Brian, Wally, Nora, Niall, Dotty and Deirdre, a multitude of friends and work colleagues throughout his life. The Mac and Norman’s Vintage Rally will take place on Sunday, August 14th, leaving Brannockstown at 12noon. All proceeds will go towards Cancer research.

Donard /Glen Camogie Club are doing a clothes collection for recycling. All suitable items can be dropped into the clubhouse in St. Kevin’s at training times. A list of suitable items is available on the Church notice board. This will run until 18th July. 10% of the collected proceeds will be donated to the Laura Lynn Hospice fund.
Dunlavin GAA club are running a golf classic Saturday August 13th in Baltinglass Golf club. All funds raised will go towards getting our walking track lights up and running before the winter.

Dunlavin Library’s opening hours are now as follows: Tuesday 5-8 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 10a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Your Library card gives you free access to books and audio materials as well as access to online materials and resources including magazines, courses and Find My Past which will allow you to discover your family history. St Kevin’s Way Walk
St Kevin’s Way group are hosting a Pilgrim Path Walk on August 18 as part of Heritage Week. The walk will be led by experience guides, reflections recited at key points, rest stops present time for a chat and refreshment throughout the day.
This walk has two routes; the longer route is from Hollywood to Glendalough, meeting in Hollywood village at 7.30 arriving in Glendalough around 5 p.m., bus backed to Hollywood, approximately 30K walk.
Shorter Route: Ballinagee Bridge to Glendalough. We meet in the Visitor car park Glendalough at midday for bus pick up to starting point at Ballinagee Bridge. Finish around 5 p.m., approximately 12K walk.
Fee: €20 includes, bus, refreshment and insurance. Booking is essential, place are limited so please book early at: Register: email@example.com.

GAA Club lotto
Draw results July 20. The number drawn were 3, 6, 24 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot. The seller’s prizes went to Bridie Wilson 271.The €50 winners were Anne Tutty Brooklyn online 52, Rob Keogh 676, Jim Clarke 860, Eileen Byrne online 288. The next draw for a jackpot of €20,000 will be held on August 3 at the Hollywood GAA Club house. Tickets can be bought online at hollywoodgaa.com and from the usual local outlets.
