Football Club notes
It was a momentous week on the playing field for our junior team. On Tuesday they went to Blessington. We seldom come home from there with full points but this time it was different. Where they usually win the midfield battle, this year we dominated that area. Our defence was sound, and our forwards were flying. It was a good win over the league leaders.
On Thursday we played Stratford away. Unfortunately, the opposition are having difficulty fielding a team. They did have 15, but it was very weak, and our lads had a runaway victory.
The team that played Blessington was: James Walsh, Aaron Moody, Kevin Osbourne, Declan Healy, Jack Keogh, Dean Flynn, Dan Furlong, Pat Flynn, Ben Lawless, Darren O’Neill, Ed Flynn, Tommy Dwyer, Liam Mullen, Joe Mills, Ray Halloran, Liam Byrne, and Mick Byrne.
There was no lotto jackpot winner last week. T P Flynn, Natalie Case, Biddy and TP and Biddy Curran matched three and won €50 each. The next draw will take place on Monday, July 4, in Davidstown.
