FIFTY years ago, a squad of young rugby players from Presentation College Bray came to within moments of achieving immortality.

It was on that day that, in Lansdowne Road, they were leading Belvedere within a “whisker” of the final whistle in the Leinster Senior Schools Cup final, as it was reported in the Irish Independent on the day, moments away from winning their first title since 1932.
