LAST weekend Wicklow Sailing Club hosted a Trooper Traveller with 54 boats from all over Ireland competing.

It presented the ideal opportunity to showcase both Wicklow Sailing Club and the different activities taking place at Wicklow Harbour.

The signature red and blue topper sails filled the horizon and could be clearly seen from the shore. The event proved a huge success with the travelling sailors full of praise for the hospitality they received.

Wicklow Sailing Club Commodore Kyran O’Grady presented prizes to all the winning sailors. Emily Carrington won best local sailor. Thanks are also offered to all the volunteers who made the day possible.
