There will be an overnight water outage in Greystones as Irish Water carries out works in the town.

The water utility  said it is carrying out water leakage savings works in Greystones to improve the security of supply and reduce high levels of leakage in the area.

As part of these upgrades, further works will continue on the 400mm Trunk Main at Killincarrig. To facilitate the safe delivery of these works, a temporary  water supply outage to homes and businesses in Greystones and surrounding areas is planned for Thursday, November 11 from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. on Friday, November 12. Some traffic diversions may be in place during the works. It can take up to three hours following restoration time for the network to refill and normal water supply to fully return,.

Irish Water and Wicklow County Council regret any inconvenience these works may cause.
