L7256 road closure to facilitate installation of cattle pass

WICKLOW County Council intends to close the L7256 Crossnacoole Road for just under two weeks to allow for the installation of a cattle pass.

The L7256 will be closed from 8 a.m. on Monday, February 14, to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 25, from its junction with the R747 at Kiltegan Crossroads to its junction with the L7288 Borkilmore Road.

Eastbound traffic should divert at the junction of the R747 Kiltegan Crossroads and travel north, via the L7266 Kiltegan Main Street, to Graigue Crossroads, and then east on the L3260 Rathdangan Road to Rathdangan Crossroads, and then south on the L7261 Kilamote Road and then east on the L7256 Highpark Road to the junction with the L7288 Borkilmore Road.

Westbound traffic should divert at the junction of the L7256 Highpark Road and the L7288 Borkilmore Road and travel south and then west on the L7288 to the junction with the R747 at Borkilmore, and then west to the Carlow County boundary and continue north along the R747 in County Carlow through Portrushen Lower and Tinnaclash, crossing back into County Wicklow and ending at the junction with the L7256 Highpark Road at its junction with the R747.
