GAA News

Our adult hurlers had two good wins in the league section over the last two weeks. We came away with a win against Kiltegan last Wednesday week on a score line of Aughrim 3-21 Kiltegan 2-11. We followed this up with a facile win against a young Bray Emmets team last week on a score line of Aughrim 3-21 Bray Emmets 0-5 As things stand at the moment we are second in the league and are in line for a Junior A semi-final.

Our adult footballers after receiving a bye in the first round of the Junior A championship will have to wait till next week to see who our opponent will be in the next round. The lads are training hard at the moment and have completed a number of challenge matches, which hopefully will have them well prepared for the championship.

Our minor under-17 team have two very important matches left in this current round robin over the next coming weeks. We are away to Baltinglass first and then our final game is at home to Bray Emmets.

Please see Aughrim Facebook and Wicklow People for dates and times for these two important games. The club would like to extend its sympathy to the Newsome family on their recent sad bereavement.
