THE highly-anticipated Beyond the Trees Avondale opened on Monday, the longest day of the year, in time for the busy summer season.

Beyond the Trees Avondale is an exciting new visitor destination in Ireland's Ancient East following a €16 million development project by Coillte in partnership with Fáilte Ireland and EAK Ireland.

Visitors can look forward to a spectacular 38 metre high wooden viewing tower, providing stunning 360-degree views of Coillte’s Avondale Forest Park. There’s a 90m long spiral slide at the top of the tower, so all your family can whizz back down on the slide

A unique 1.2km tree top walkway with breath taking views of Avondale’s diverse forests, representing the longest Treetop Walk in Ireland and the UK, and offers the public the opportunity to walk along the tree tops of Avondale.
