The Whale Theatre was the venue for a powerful evening of friendship and support for Ukraine.

The Greystones venue was packed to the rafters for an emotional and moving evening of music, performance and solidarity.

Local musicians joined Ukrainian musicians to perform on stage. Performers included Yaroslav Bilous,a young Ukrainian musician who recently arrived in Greystones with his family.

A selection of Ukrainian songs were performed during the evening, which concluded with a moving rendition of the Ukrainian national anthem.

The event was organised by the Whale Theatre in partnership with Greystones Town Team and Tiglin.

Tickets were offered to family and friends of the performers and host organisations. The demand for tickets was so strong that the show sold out well in advance.

To allow as many people as possible to enjoy the show, the event was livestreamed on Tiglin’s Facebook page.

Organisers thanked all those who took part in the event or supported it in any way.
