THE Holy Rosary School has bid a fond farewell to John Howes as he retired after working as a caretaker for some 22 years.

John was very much a part of everyday life at the Holy Rosary and the parents, staff, pupils and board of management at the school got together to mark his departure by making a presentation to him on his last working day.

John will be sadly missed by everyone associated with the school. He will be remembered with particularly fondness because he often went above and beyond his call of duty, such as creating a special recycling depot for the children to help further their Green Flag efforts.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish him well for the future.
