LACKEN’S Joe Meaney opened an online paint store from his home two years ago during the pandemic and is now launching an innovative new tool to help customers choose their paint colours on Black Friday.

Kraftsmann Paint Hand Painted A4 Peel and Stick Swatches aim to provide genuine texture and colour accuracy, whilst promising not to leave any marks after being removed from test walls. The move is just the latest growth from the west Wicklow-born company, after recently expanding into a new distribution centre at Ballymount’s Fashion City in Dublin.

Visitors to Kraftsmann Paint’s Dublin store will be able to get a free swatch from Friday, November 25 up to and including Wednesday, November 30 in any of the Kraftsmann Collection’s 176 colours. In addition, on Saturday, November 26, they will be offering free interior design and colour consultations.

“It goes to show that with remote working and high-quality fibre broadband, you can easily start an international company from home in west Wicklow,” said Joe. “Making quality, high-pigmentation paint from the finest ingredients is just the starting point for us at Kraftsmann. Sustainability for us as a business is also a must and we strive to be green in our products and practices.

“Our latest sustainable innovation, the Kraftsmann Hand Painted A4 Peel and Stick Swatches have been designed to take the guesswork out of colour selection and save time, money, hassle and the environment.”

Joe added: “No more messy sample pots. Simply place the swatches on your wall and see how your colour choice looks as the light transitions throughout the day. These novel swatches have a no-damage adhesive backing which enables you to move the swatches around from wall to wall and room to room without leaving any tell-tale marks behind. You can easily compare and contrast different colours and what’s more, there’s no leftover paint pot or paint for disposal.”
