The deadline is closing in for nominations for Bray and District Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Endeavour Awards.

Entries for the awards, which seek to recognise and celebrate individuals and community groups who have made an outstanding contribution to the town, will close on Thursday, September 22.

They were first presented in 1981 and this year come in six categories, with additional awards to be delivered to local businesses.

Top of the bill is Person of the Year, which will be presented to the individual who has contributed most to the town of Bray and its environs. The Civic/Community goes to the individual or voluntary organisation that has contributed significantly to community and civic life in Bray and District.

Then there are three achievement awards, Sports, Lifetime and Young, and the covetted Customer Service Award, presented to reward someone who works in the town and its environs, who goes above and beyond the call of duty in their line of work.

Several business awards will also be presented on the night and as part of this the Chamber is asking for nominations for local businesses and local business initiatives to be considered by their adjudication panel.

Nominations can be made online at www.braychamber.ie, by email to info@braychamber.ie, or by post to Chamber House, 10 Prince of Wales Terrace, Bray.

All nominations received will be considered by the Awards Adjudication Panel, with the Awards themselves presented at an Awards Ceremony to be held at the Mermaid Arts Centre on November 3.

The business award finalists will be announced at the end of September when the public will have a few weeks to vote.
