LOCAL Enterprise Office (LEO) Wicklow will run a bookkeeping course for small businesses in February of next year.

The course will be presented in a workshop style, with opportunities to participate and contribute.

According to LEO Wicklow, the course will give participants an in-depth understanding of the bookkeeping and accounting issues business owners need to be aware of to enable them to prepare and control their business accounts and meet all Revenue obligations.

The trainer will be Sarah McGuinness, who runs SM Accounting Solutions. Her business was set up in June 2004 as a training and accountancy practice. Ms McGuinness is a chartered certified accountant and holds a BA (Hons) in accounting and finance and a first-class honours certificate in training and continuing education from NUI, Maynooth.
