Tea @ 10 is shortlisted for award

Bray & District Chamber's 'Tea @ 10' has been shortlisted in the 'Best Membership Initiative' category for the Chambers Ireland awards 2020.
Other initiatives in the category are Cork Chamber Pioneer Membership, Getting to Know Northern Ireland Chamber, merger of Waterford Chamber and Tramore Chamber of Tourism & Commerce and Drogheda Chamber's 'FitBiz'.
Themes for the networking event have included workplace wellness, finance and the power of networking.
Participants are invited to the regular event to hear a range of speakers on a host of issues and to have the chance to meet their peers in the local business community over a cup of tea or coffee.
The award winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony on Friday, April 3, at the Killashee Hotel in Naas.
Awards will be presented for excellence in six different categories.
One chamber will be awarded the overall award of Chamber of the Year 2020.
The awards seek to recognise the outstanding work of chambers around the country, while providing a platform for chambers to share and promote how active and engaged they are across several different areas.
The shortlist features projects from 17 Chambers, exemplifying the wide-ranging work being done around the country.
Congratulating those shortlisted, Colm Blake, head of insurance marketing at Zurich Ireland, the main sponsor of the awards, said: 'These awards are an opportunity to reward the excellence of the chamber network and their members; particularly for the work they do to promote the long-term development of businesses in their communities so that they are better places in which to live, work and do business.'

The Chamber Awards is a celebration of how chambers place business at the heart of their communities.
'Through their work in supporting local economic development, Chambers take the lead in launching innovative campaigns, projects and policy proposals. Our goal in hosting this national awards ceremony is to promote this creativity and hard work,' he said.
'Local chambers collectively promote Ireland's business competitiveness through a variety of creative projects and activities, particularly through the brilliant events they run which highlight what their local areas have to offer and attract local people and international visitors alike.
