GAA club news

Our adult hurling team lost out narrowly to a strong St Pat’s team in our league match last week. Fielding without some of our regular starters due to injuries and exam commitments the team on duty played out of their skins and lost out in the end by two points in a very competitive game.

After their match last week was postponed our Junior C team are in action against Tinahely in Tinahely next Thursday the 16th at 7.30 p.m. Please come along and support.

Congratulations to Aughrim player Alex Kavanagh, who played corner forward for Wicklow minors who beat Laois in winning the Celtic League cup. Well done, Alex.

The sympathy of the club is extended to the Byrne and Brennan families on their recent sad bereavements.
