A hat-trick for in-form Nicole Curran helped Craanford-Monaseed claim a deserved John and Julie Murphy Cup in Monageer on Sunday.
Buffers Alley were the opposition in the Junior 'B' camogie league final and the Monamolin side might well have fancied their chances having won the championship clash between the sides five weeks earlier.
However, it was Craanford-Monaseed who set the tempo and ran away with it.
The tie was effectively over at the interval with the victors leading by 2-11 to nil. Curran picked up two of her majors in the first 30 minutes while a barrage of points, and a Kerrie Daly penalty save, saw the scoreboard decidedly one-sided.
The Alley did get a pair of goals back in the second-half through Megan Cahill and Marie Butler but it only momentarily halted the Craanford-Monaseed momentum.
There was still time for the north county side to round off victory in style, with county Senior Una Sinnott adding a goal to her six points and Curran completing her treble on a wonderful evening for the club.
