The award winning Bridge Drama Group kick off a run of shows at Wexford Arts Centre tonight (Tuesday, 29th) which lasts until Sunday.
The cast and crew are excited to present Michael Carey's 'Thy Will Be Done'. Directed by Brigid Scully, the play is set in the West of Ireland in the late 1990s. Centred around two brothers who haven't spoken to each other in forty years, one is a 'spitting auld weasel' and the other is 'an Antichrist' according to the home help, Bridie.
When young Martin arrives from America to try life in Ireland with his father and his uncle we get to see the small minded and gossip driven community in which they reside.
Equally funny and poignant this play is a classic true to life story that reflects a facet of Irish life not unusual even in today's modern world. The show features an extremely talented cast of well-known local actors - Paul Tobin, Frank Ryan, Ken Murphy and Áine Gannon - and it looks set to be a real hit with Wexford audiences.
Tickets are priced at €13 and are available from www.wexfordartscentre.ie or by calling 0539123764.
