Stagefright singers for Carnegie Hall

Wexford a cappella group Stagefright have been invited to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York next year but local audiences will have a chance to see them at a lunch-time concert in Green Acres art gallery in Selskar on June 29 at 1 p.m.

Distinguished Concerts International New York City have invited the group to take part in the sixth annual production of Total Vocal, a performance of contemporary a cappella in the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall next March, arranged and directed by Deke Sharon.

Stagefright will join with other singers from around the world to form an international choir.

In the meantine, at the summer lunchtime concert in Green Acres, they will be joined by special guest duos Patricia Goggins and Ruth Gallagher and Dan Comerford and Sinéad Furlong.

Tickets at €10 each are available from Green Acres, from group members and from Eventbrite.ie.
