Smokie, King Kong Company, Jersey Boys and the return of the ever popular Prohibition Party are the latest events confirmed for this year's Spiegeltent Festival.
As always, the magnificent Spiegeltent Paradiso is due to be erected on the quay in October and already confirmed are such heavy hitters as Mick Flannery, Squeeze, John Bishop, Jools Holland, Reginald D Hunter, All Tvvins, Villagers, Jack Lukeman and Neil Delamere.
80s legends Smokie are due to perform under the big top on Thursday, October 17, rattling off a string of bits hits from 'Changing All The Time' and 'Something's Been Making Me Blue' to the evergreen 'Living Next Door to Alice'. Having sold out nights in the Spiegeltent in 2017 and 2018, tickets, priced at €33, are sure to be in demand and early booking is advised.
There will be flapper girls and dapper Dans a plenty at the Spiegeltent once again as the Prohibition Party takes over on October 18. With live electro-swing, champagne and all the atmosphere of the roaring 20s! Tickets for the evening are €37.
Speaking of throwbacks, on October 23 the UK based group The Rag Dolls will take you on a musical journey through the hits of one of the most successful bands of all time - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Jersey Boys recreates the iconic sound of such classics as 'Oh Carol', 'Teenager in Love' and 'Still of the Night'. Tickets are €27.
Finally, having wowed at Electric Picnic and performed to a sold-out Olympia in October of last year, King Kong Company scooped Best Irish Act at the Pure M Awards last November. Now midway through festival season, they've confirmed one more as they take their awesome live show to the Spiegeltent on October 24. Tickets for this show are priced at €22.50.
