Wexford Pantomime Society are bringing the curtain down on a colourful history of productions in the Dun Mhuire Theatre this week as they stage their final show on the iconic stage.
With the theatre set to close, the society has organised a move to the National Opera House for next year's production.
Determined to finish off on a high, Jack and the Beanstalk officially opened last night and has already received some marvellous reviews from those who attended opening night.
It offers a Wexford twist on the classic and features a stellar cast including Michael Carroll as Jack, Stephen Byrne as Dame Daisy, Niamh Cullen as Little Miss Muffet, Brandon Cogley as Little Boy Blue, Chris Doyle as Dougie the Cow and Craig Healy as Mr Big the Giant to name but a few!
The society say it's the biggest panto they've done to date and they can't wait to show it off. The show runs at 8 p.m. nightly until Saturday, with matinee shows at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are scarce, but for more info, see www.wexfordpanto.com.
