Wexford Book Club will play host to an academic turned fiction writer at an event in Wexford Book Centre on April 8.
Chancellor of the National University of Ireland, Maurice Manning has turned his hand to fiction writing and has published 'The Kilderry Files', a fast-paced thriller with a rich cast of characters, which brings the reader to the heart and paranoia of war time Ireland and the inner reaches of Catholic politics.
Peter Prendergast, who is hosting the meeting of Wexford's Black Book Club says: 'Maurice's novel is a gripping, exciting story
which captures the tensions between Church, State politicians and the Gardai, brilliantly. We are thrilled that Maurice has agreed to meet us.'
Maurice is no stranger to Wexford - he spends time in Rosslare every year as he and his wife have a house there. He will be available to sign copies of the novel at the Book Centre at lunchtime on Monday, April 9.
