Wexford Lions Club, in partnership with Wexford Arts Centre, has announced application details for its annual exhibition and to invite submissions from local artists and anyone with an interest in art regardless of their level of skill or previous experience.
The annual exhibition celebrates local talent and offers a platform for artists who are at various stages of their careers as well as those with an interest in art and who wish to see their work realised within a gallery context.
For this reason, it is an important show within the Wexford Arts Centre's programme.
The Wexford Lions Club Open Exhibition will be on view in the lower and upper galleries of Wexford Arts Centre from Saturday, March 14, to Saturday, April 4.
Building on the success of last year's exhibition and the remarkably high quality of work received, the theme for the 2015 exhibition has again been left entirely open.
Participants can submit work on a variety of subjects ranging from land to sea, figure and fauna, rural beauty, urban narratives, pure imagination, total abstraction and everything else in between.
This year, the exhibition will again feature the Young Lions gallery, dedicated exclusively to the work of young, budding artists. The club also wants to promote the talents of local sculptors and those working in three dimensional forms.
Application forms and canvases/boards are available now from the Wexford Arts Centre.
