Thieves steal cigarette machine from pub

A SOUTH WEXFORD PUB is at a loss of over €2,500 after it was broken into on Friday.

Cushen's Pub in Tagoat was broken into some time between 12.30 a.m. and 6.30 a.m. that morning.

The owner responded to an alarm activation at the pub and when they arrived they found that the front door had been smashed through.

A cigarette machine was stolen. The machine itself is worth in the region of €1,500 and it had about €1,000 worth of cigarettes in it. The publican was also left with a front door to replace after the break-in.

Anyone who was in or passing through the Tagoat area in the early hours of Friday morning and saw any suspicious behaviour at Cushen's is asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053-9165200.
