Specsavers Wexford has hosted its inaugural awards night at a special ceremony in the Talbot Hotel.
Having recently received a Platinum Employer Award for its outstanding management standards and staff development, the night presented an opportunity to recognise staff contribution to the effective running of its store and the quality customer service which resulted in the award win.
Paul Twomey, Relationship Manager in the Republic of Ireland for Specsavers stores, was on hand to present the awards at an event attended by Specsavers Wexford directors Mags Smart and Steve Schokman.
Emma Howlin was named 'Best Newcomer' and Debbie Mahoney won both 'Best Team Player' and the 'Goes the Extra Mile' awards, achievements made all the more special because they were voted for by staff members.
Reflecting on a successful night, Mags Smart said: 'We are thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate the hardworking staff of Specsavers Wexford and mark the win for the Platinum Employer Award. The awards night was a huge success and a tradition we hope to continue. We would especially like to thank the Talbot Hotel Wexford for allowing us to host our event and to our staff members Emma Howlin, Kelly Nolan and Jaslyn Broaders for organising a fantastic night'.
The Platinum Employer Award is an accreditation scheme which aims to raise the bar of management standards.
