A WARRANT has again been issued for the arrest of Wexford native Robert Furlong after he failed to turn up in court to meet a charge of drunken driving.
64-year-old Furlong, whose address was given as Sidney Bar Court, West End Lane, London, UK, was due in Wicklow District Court last week to meet a charge of committing the offence at Ballinapark, Ashford, on October 23 last eyar, but failed to appear.
Garda Marion Galvin told the court that a bench warrant had also previously been issued for Furlong's arrest. This was executed at Wexford District Court on March 28 when he received bail and was directed to appear before Wicklow District Court last Tuesday. He also gave an undertaking at that time to reside at 29 Moin Rua in Monageer, to notify gardai of any change of address and not to drive without insurance.
