After recent announcements of 'The Definitive Rat Pack' and John B. Keane's 'The Matchmaker' added to an eclectic and exciting programme for Wexford Spiegeltent Festival 2015, yet more fantastic acts have been announced.
Following on from two sell-out shows last year, Corner Boy will headline the last weekend of the Festival, playing on Sunday, October 25, and Delorentos have been added to the line-up, along with a double-bill of Mundy and Paddy Casey.
The Spiegeltent Comedy All-Stars will feature a night of comedy with Karl Spain, Fred Cooke and Joe Rooney. And for theatre lovers, there is a real treat in store, when Bar Witness Theatre presents 'Early Grave, Fashionably Late,' a one man theatrical tour-de-force.
Wexford Spiegeltent Festival Box Office, in the old Mechanics Institute at 1 North Main St. is open from Monday to Saturday and selling tickets for all shows.
Wexford music collective South Sea popped by last week for the opening of the box office, along with DoneDeal who are main sponsors of the festival. At the opening, Agnes Swaby, DoneDeal Marketing Manager said, 'this is our fourth consecutive year supporting the Wexford Spiegeltent Festival. Each year the Festival grows bigger and bigger and we're looking forward to the best Spiegeltent yet this year. Just like DoneDeal the Spiegeltent has something for everyone!'
Event organisers, Lantern Events, say that ticket sales are well ahead of the same period last year and that there is already limited availability for some shows. Brian Byrne said ticket sales are well ahead of last year, with three shows - Bell X1, Dylan Moran, and Albert Hammond all sold out.
'We have added a second Dylan Moran show on Sunday, October 18. There is now only limited availability for other shows, such as Steve Earle & The Dukes and The Stunning so we would ask people to book early to avoid disappointment.' Tickets are available from the box office or from www.wexfordspiegeltent.com. Call 053 9199199 for more information.
