WEXFORD'S mayor, Cllr. George Lawlor, is to seek information from people who receive their water supplies from the Mayglass Tower.
'I intend gathering as much information as possible to send to Irish Water on behalf of the consumers involved,' he said
Cllr. Lawlor recently raised the issue of the hard water supplies with the Council, but said he was anxious to see what Irish Water plans to do to compensate those affected by the hard water which furs up their kettles and washing machines.
'Through no fault of their own these people will be paying on the double once water charges are introduced.
'They will be paying for the water and then paying to treat it,' he said.
