Kathleen Boggan always put her beloved family first

KATHLEEN Boggan (née Morton), left a positive and lasting impression on everyone she met and above all, she lived for her family.

Late of Fairfields, Rathaspeck, Kathleen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 8 aged 69.

She is survived by her husband Nicky; daughters, Helen, Linda, Lorraine and Rachel; brother, Denis; sisters, Maisie, Alice and Maggie; sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, Catherine, Ian, Alyssa, Alex and Aaron, great-grandchildren, Cian and Cora; nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Originally from Oulart Kathleen attended the local national school before going on to work at several different jobs including at St Peter's College. She married Nicky Boggan 45 years ago and the happy couple made a lovely home for themselves and their family at Fairfields.

Kathleen loved gardening and along with Nicky, they created a lovely garden for everyone to enjoy.

A family member said: 'She lived for her family; you couldn't ask for a better mother. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was always on the other end of the phone. She left a positive impression on everyone she met and everybody was treated the same by her.'

Kathleen loved being in the middle of family occasions, be it a birthday party or a gathering over Christmas. She was a woman of great faith.

Kathleen attended the Piercestown Christmas party which she thoroughly enjoyed. Sadly she took ill on Christmas Eve and spent time at Beaumont Hospital before being transferred to Wexford General Hospital.

A large crowd attended Kathleen's funeral mass at St. Catherine's Church, Murrintown and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

May she rest in peace.
