Gifted Orla (13) wins bursary for course

A BRIGHT young Rosslare girl has been awarded a bursary by the Irish Centre for Talented Youth (CTYI).Academically gifted Orla Delaney (13), from Rosslare Harbour, has been taking part in courses at the CTYI in D.C.U. from forensic science to pharmaceuticals since the age of seven.

A BRIGHT young Rosslare girl has been awarded a bursary by the Irish Centre for Talented Youth (CTYI).

Academically gifted Orla Delaney (13), from Rosslare Harbour, has been taking part in courses at the CTYI in D.C.U. from forensic science to pharmaceuticals since the age of seven.

Orla, a first year student in the Loreto, has now been awarded a bursary by CTYI, Dublin City University due to her outstanding results in the January 2008 nationwide Talent Search, which saw her sit a challenging exam in Waterford.

She will now participate in the Summer 2008 residential courses at D.C.U. for young people with high academic ability and has opted for a course in novel writing.
