Having had over 160 gleaming vehicles of every make, model and era roll out from Wexford's quayfront at the end of April, Wexford Sports and Classic Car Club were delighted to hand over €2,000 to charity last week.
The money raised over the course of the hugely popular event will now be equally divided between two Wexford charities in the form of Wexford Marinewatch and Wexford Women's Refuge to help them continue their wonderful work in the local community.
An annual event hosted by the club, next year will see the 10th anniversary of The Spring Challenge and organisers are hoping it will be one of their biggest yet.
The event attracts huge interest from motor enthusiasts from right across the country, with many travelling from surrounding counties to show off their wheels and head out for a spin.
This years event saw some impeccably maintained cars take part from a fantastic Ford RS200 to marvellous Morris Minors.
As always, the event saw great support from the public, as young and old cast an eye over the cars on the quay and as the run made its way through Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Laois.
Both Marinewatch and Wexford Women's Refuge were extremely grateful to Wexford Sports and Classic Car Club for all their work and wished the club all the very best with the tenth Spring Challenge next year.
