Camogie star Karen supports Run for Life

WEXFORD'S CAMOGIE captain Karen Atkinson is lending her support to the Solas Centre's South East Run for Life.

Taking place this year on Sunday, October 14, the run looks set to be bigger and better than ever, with a new route for those taking part this time round.

All-Ireland champion Karen has been chosen as the Wexford ambassador for this year's event and joins other high profile sports stars from across the South East region in supporting and promoting this fundraiser.

Every year across Waterford, Wexford, Tipperary, Carlow and Kilkenny 2,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer and that is why the organisers are hoping to garner the support of 2,000 participants to take part in aid of the Solas Centre.

Sponsorship cards are available from the Solas Centre, on their website www.solascentre.ie, Beat 102 103 studios, Sam McCauleys and AIB branches.
