With council officials largely putting the blame for Wexford town's traffic woes on a lack of town centre parking, Cllr John Hegarty has asked that greater measures be taken to promote the car park at Wexford Courthouse.
Speaking at the December Borough meeting, Cllr Hegarty said that perhaps people weren't aware of the parking there.
'The courthouse car park is under-utilised,' he said.
'I know we spoke about making it a little bit cheaper in the past, but I think for starters it could have better signage. Currently, there's just kind of a gap in the ditch.'
The Borough engineer said he would look into both the signage and reducing the cost of parking at the Courthouse.
