The Wexford Amnesty Group is holding its 4th annual Music with a Message event at the Wexford Arts Centre, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 30.
The event, to mark International Human Rights Day, will be hosted by Trish Robinson.
It will be an evening of light entertainment with a serious undertone - a presentation of music and song that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.
Local people with an interest in human rights have selected pieces of music (on CD), which have particular resonances for them - a sort of Desert Island Discs with a difference.
Refreshments will be provided and Amnesty Christmas cards will be available to purchase.
Tickets cost €10 and can be purchased from the Arts Centre.
The Wexford Amnesty group meets at 7.30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at White's Hotel. It currently has 10 members, and is setting up a group for 2nd and 3rd level students, which will be separate from, but affiliated with, the main group.
