TEACHERS and parents took to the catwalk to raise money for Kilrane National School.

And more than 200 people were there to cheer them on as they strutted their stuff at the Danby Lodge.

All the clothes worn by the models was was donated free.

The show raised more than €3,000 which will be used to fund up-to-date computer equipment for pupils and a range of supplementary school activities such as music and swimming lessons.

More than 20 teachers and parents modelled clothing supplied by eight leading fashion boutiques in Wexford town. Headmaster Eoin Ó Doinneagáin modelled the latest youth fashions to an appreciative and amused audience.

Hard-working school secretary Sue Murphy was treated to a new outfit compliments of Carraig Donn.

Funds raised exceeded all expectations and the Parents Council said they were very grateful to all who helped.
