A WINDFALL of €31,000 made its way to Michael Grace last Saturday as he took part in the National Lottery's Winning Streak game show on RTE.
The well-known Ballinaboola man bought the lucky scratch card on New Year's Day from Nolan's on South Street and happened to flick over stations from the rugby match last Saturday to Winning Streak just in time to hear his name read out.
Originally from The Rower, Michael is self employed and works in steel fabrication and maintenance, while his wife of 37 years Mary runs a Bed and Breakfast.
With his winnings Michael and Mary would love to return to Australia and visit their son Dermot in Perth
Apart from a trip down under he would like to do some home improvements and pay a bill or two.
