Participants worked up a sweat for a great cause at St Joseph's Community Centre as a special Zumba Masterclass took place in aid of Pieta House.
The brainchild of Jaymee Duggan, the idea got great traction and some 40 people turned up to give it a go, get the blood flowing and have some fun for a great cause.
'I suppose in the past I've suffered with my mental health myself,' Jaymee said. 'So I just decided it would be nice to do something to raise some money and awareness. Pieta House don't get enough credit for the amazing work they do and the service that they provide free of charge to those in need. So far, the event has raised nearly €700 and I'm delighted with that.'
There was a wonderful fun atmosphere on the day as the tunes pumped out and everyone got into the spirit of things. 'It went really well,' said Jaymee. 'Everyone seemed to have a great time and we got some great feedback. I'm going to try and make it an annual thing and maybe try raise money for some different causes.'
