New surface is badly needed on Castlebridge road
Improving the surface of the Wexford to Castlebridge road should be a major priority when it comes to spending on roads, according to Cllr. George Lawlor. He claimed that the carriageway is so uneven that motorists and their passengers are likely to become seasick.
He would also like to see footpaths and cycle paths installed, claiming that the road is used by tens of thousands of vehicles each day.
Director of road services Eamonn Hore accepted that the road in question is particularly bad.
