Wexford Hospice Homecare received another welcome boost, this time from the housekeeping staff at Wexford General Hospital who held a Christmas fundraiser.

Anne Kinsella explained that they had started the 'Memory Tree' in December 2017 as some staff members had used the services of the hospice and wanted to give something back.

This year, the group raised €1,065 for the charity, which they presented to Elizabeth O'Sullivan.

Ms Kinsella explained that the idea was a simple one. People could buy a tag for €5, write the name of a loved one that they wanted to remember over the Christmas period on the tag and hang it on the Memory Tree.

Ms Kinsella said: 'We just want to thank everyone who supported us and who contributed to the fundraiser.'
