As we were unable to form a committee at the last meeting, due to poor attendance, a new meeting has been scheduled on Friday 23rd September at 7 pm in the community centre. If this meeting is also unsuccessful the club will not open this year.

Please note parents of children who have entered secondary school this year are invited to attend. Meanwhile if anyone would like to step up to the task they are asked to contact Frances Prunty 086 3044 809, Noel McCormack 087 2295 754 or Jeannie O Neill 087 6384 760. GAA CLUB NEWS

The club has been nominated for a fantastic opportunity provided by Etihad Airways. We need all the votes we can get to beat the other 3 finalists in Etihad's "Best Club Down Under" competition. The others are all bigger clubs in Dublin, Cork and Galway so we have a huge task ahead of us.

We are used to being the underdogs, but we really want to win this for our Parish and our Community. Please vote for us by clicking on www.glynnbarntown.com.

County Final: Glynn/Barntown`s U.16 football team will play in the county final this Saturday 24th at a venue and time to be confirmed. Please check the GAA fixtures section of this paper for details. GAA RAFFLE

Thanks to all who purchased raffle tickets for the recent club draw. Congratulations to the winners, Ollie Rafferty who won the All Ireland football tickets & the night in the Royal Marine hotel & Ciaran Power from St.Matins who won the Ipad. GLYNN YOUTH CLUB

Opening night in Glynn hall went smoothly, lovely to welcome faces, old and new. John, Nigel, Murt and Ronan did a great job maximising the space on the stage for the chill zone.

We are gathering names of those interested in the up coming competitions, and kayaking trip, put your names forward asap. We are also looking for volunteers to coach/manage the table quiz, indoor soccer, dodgeball, basketball and table tennis teams, any volunteers are asked to make themselves known to any of the committee.
